Welcome to Vegan.co.uk ("we," "us," "our," or the "Platform"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vegan.co.uk website, marketplace, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using Vegan.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
"Platform" refers to Vegan.co.uk.
"User" refers to any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
"Seller" refers to a User who creates a store or lists items for sale.
"Buyer" refers to a User who purchases items from Sellers.
"Store" refers to a Seller’s individual storefront on the Platform.
"Content" refers to any listings, text, images, descriptions, reviews, or other material uploaded to the Platform.
2.1 Vegan.co.uk is an online marketplace that enables independent Sellers to list and sell products directly to Buyers.
2.2 Vegan.co.uk is not a party to any transaction between Buyers and Sellers.
2.3 We do not manufacture, store, inspect, guarantee, or endorse any products listed on the Platform.
2.4 All transactions are solely between Buyers and Sellers. The Platform expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for:
Product quality, safety, legality, or authenticity;
Delivery, returns, refunds, or exchanges;
Misrepresentations by Sellers;
Disputes between Buyers and Sellers.
2.5 Buyers acknowledge that they purchase products at their own risk.
3.1 Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
3.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
3.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4.1 Sellers are solely responsible for:
The accuracy of their listings;
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations;
Ensuring products meet legal safety and labelling requirements;
Managing customer service, shipping, refunds, and returns;
Paying all applicable taxes.
4.2 Sellers must ensure that products marketed as "vegan" comply with applicable consumer protection laws and are accurately described.
4.3 Sellers agree to indemnify and hold Vegan.co.uk harmless from any claims arising from their products, listings, or conduct.
5.1 Buyers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions carefully before purchase.
5.2 Buyers must resolve any disputes regarding products, shipping, refunds, or exchanges directly with the Seller.
5.3 Vegan.co.uk does not guarantee refunds or returns.
6.1 Vegan.co.uk facilitates payment processing on behalf of Sellers.
6.2 Funds from customer purchases will be collected by Vegan.co.uk and held on behalf of the relevant Seller.
6.3 Sellers may request payout of their available balance.
6.4 Payout requests will be processed within 3–5 business days, subject to verification and fraud checks.
6.5 Vegan.co.uk is not liable for delays caused by banking institutions, payment processors, or circumstances beyond our control.
6.6 We reserve the right to withhold payments where:
Fraud is suspected;
There is an ongoing dispute;
These Terms have been breached;
Required verification has not been completed.
7.1 At present, Vegan.co.uk does not charge commission or transaction fees on sales.
7.2 We reserve the right to introduce fees, commissions, subscription charges, or other charges in the future.
7.3 Users will be provided reasonable notice of any new fees before they take effect.
Users may not:
List any products containing: Animal Products, Animal Bi-products, Including Honey, manufacturing processes which involve animal products,
List illegal or prohibited products;
Infringe intellectual property rights;
Provide false or misleading information;
Engage in fraud or deceptive practices;
Attempt to circumvent the Platform’s payment system;
Interfere with the security or functionality of the Platform.
We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend accounts at our sole discretion.
9.1 Sellers retain ownership of their Content.
9.2 By uploading Content, Sellers grant Vegan.co.uk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and promote such Content for the purpose of operating and marketing the Platform.
9.3 The Vegan.co.uk name, logo, and branding are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available."
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vegan.co.uk disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:
Merchantability;
Fitness for a particular purpose;
Non-infringement;
Accuracy or reliability of listings.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vegan.co.uk shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
Loss of profits, revenue, or data;
Any claim arising from transactions between Buyers and Sellers.
Our total liability shall not exceed £1000 or the amount paid by the User to the Platform in the preceding 12 months, whichever is lower.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vegan.co.uk, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
Their use of the Platform;
Their breach of these Terms;
Their violation of any law or third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if a User breaches these Terms. Accounts will be paused and a review process will be started, it is then up to the seller to respond if they wish their account to be reactivated.
Users may close their account at any time.
Use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms will be posted on Vegan.co.uk. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of The United Kingdom
